I don’t know about you but at Madison’s age (2 years old) I usually schedule “play dates” based off my desire to spend time with the other child’s mother. I know as she gets older she will ask to have friends over or go to their house and they will be able to play independently but right now, usually both moms are present during play time which means the play date is also a mommy date. The other day we went over to a friend’s house who has a daughter a little younger than Madison and a new baby. I wanted to meet the baby, congratulate my friend and let the girls play. They are almost the exact same age – PERFECT!
When we got there the other little girl was so cute. She was running around, singing, jumping and showing us her toys and her new sibling. I noticed right away that Madison was uncomfortable but chalked it up to her shyness that she usually overcomes. [Read more…]
