Hello my loves!! Welcome to link up #4! I can’t believe it’s been a month since I decided (on a Monday) to run with the Link Up idea. I posted #1 that Wednesday and haven’t looked back! All the links have been AMAZING, I’m so thankful to see such wonderful content!
As many of you know, I started a new job back in September. I work for Early Intervention as a Child Development Specialist and I ADORE it! My previous work as a Child Life Specialist (details on what that means will be in a future post) was amazing and fulfilling, but hard as a Mom. Being an Child Development Specialist allows me to give children and their families valuable help, all while yammering on about Child Development, which I can never shut up about.
What is a Child Development Specialist?
Here in NJ, Early Intervention is “a system of services for infants and toddlers, birth to age three, with developmental delays or disabilities.”(Retreived, 11.25.16 from nj.gov) Within that system, there are Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Speech Therapists, and Child Development Specialists, to name a few.
Child Development Specialists provide Developmental Intervention by utilizing learning activities that encourage the child’s progression of key touch points in various developmental areas. Getting to work with these families has allowed me to stretch the creative side of my brain; we do all kinds of activities based on their developmental needs. Each child is progressing at a rapid pace, and I couldn’t be happier!

The Link Up
I was so pleased with how last week’s link up went here at The Disorganized Parent! Thank you to all you amazing bloggers who participated even though it was the day before Thanksgiving!
Ready for me to tell you more!?
Link Ups are a great way to find amazing posts from parents around the web. This week, we are focusing on Parenting and all that comes with it. This means anything from fashion to friendships, playdates to pickups, spit up to savings, and everything in between. If you are a blogger, feel free to drop a link you would like people to read, and read other links while you’re here! If you love something, share it! Put it on Facebook, put it on Twitter, tell your neighbor!
At The Disorganized Parent, we have two rules:
- No Judging.
- Be Kind.
Ok, fine, I’m not that laid back and have more rules:
- Please use the link up button seen here ⇒
- Save as, then place the image in your blog post and link the image back to the link up. (If you have questions about these, feel free to contact me)
- If you post a link please check out at least one more link! (but really, check out as many as you have time for)
Please feel free to comment and start building your Mom Tribe!
Thanks for linking!
