You asked, we responded!! Last week, after our Easy Christmas Craft Round Up, we were asked to create more lists of simple and realistic Christmas activities. This week, we are taking on Easy Christmas Cookies!
Confession: I love Christmas as much as the next gal, but the amount of baking expected is overwhelming.
After hours of Pinterest research (which isn’t exactly work), we narrowed our list down to 8 cookies that are easy and will wow at parties!! Enjoy!
No Bake Options
I am a fan of Chocolate Dipped anything, but White Chocolate dipped nutter butters?! Um, yes please! Over at Peace but Not Quiet, these snowmen require NO baking. The Disorganized Tip: Make them with your toddler and allow them some creative freedom. Madison loves to get involved and this cookie is more of an organized chaos than a true chaos.
Chocolate Covered Oreo Balls. These would be “snack” sometimes in my college sorority and it was like a MAD DASH to the kitchen to get yours. This Oreo creation from Happy Deal Happy Day are simple but will please the crowd. The Disorganized Tip: Order the molds right on amazon and they’ll ship in a day! (mine come tomorrow)
Apparently we think dressing up Oreos is a perfectly appropriate way to say we “made” cookies in this house, because here comes suggestion number 3! If you are like us, somewhere along the line you bought a piping bag, because you were going to be a master baker. It’s time to dust that bad boy off and put it to use. Our third and final Fancy Oreo comes from Big Bears Wife and is even easier than the two before it. The Disorganized Tip: Order the bows on amazon!
I truly like to bake, but things from scratch seem overcomplicated to me. Peanut Butter Pretzel Reindeer cookies are the perfect way to actually turn your oven on, but not have to sift anything! Check out Thrifty Jinx for this winner The Disorganized Tip: Buy extra chocolate covered pretzels because some might disappear (in your belly).
This next one, you’ve seen before, but we are offering a twist. These Reese’s Cookies from Cincy Shopper offer a delicious homemade peanut butter cookie recipe. The Disorganized Tip: Get Peanut Butter Cookie Mix by Betty Crocker and follow the rest of the directions as stated. Enjoy!
Ahh, the sweet “from a box” suggestion, halving the amount of work. Clicking “easy” links on Pinterest always brings a 50/50 chance if it will actually be easy! This next one is! Smiling Colors knows when to use the box assist! The Disorganized Tip: Pay attention to the direction to melt the frosting – it will change your frosting future!
We love to have creative names for things!! These “Grinchies” from Bridget Riepl were inspired by The Grinch Who Stole Christmas and are a fun addition to the Christmas Cookie List! The Disorganized Tip: Listen to her son’s new rule about M & M candy!
The Token Gluten Free *Bonus Cookie*
Don’t leave out the gluten free recipe! It can be rough going to a party and not have anything for your dietary restrictions. This recipe is good – even my husband agreed! At Wholesome Yum, they’ve crafted a simple, four ingredient cookie that will please everyone! The Disorganized Tip: Don’t tell your nonbelievers that these are gluten free!! Let them be amazed on their own!
